Social Justice

We aim to demonstrate God’s love practically, by partnering with local and global charities to “do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, and plead the widow's cause” (Isaiah 1:17).

We are just beginning our journey, exploring God’s call on King’s Church to bring the good news of Jesus to the disadvantaged and the poor. We are currently standing with the following groups. Over time, we aspire to work with many more.

Safe Families – work with authorities and local churches to offer hope, belonging and support to children, families and care leavers. If you want to meet the need of a lack of connection and loneliness in this city, then this is an amazing charity to get involved with. You could help by befriending a family, hosting children, or offering your skills or resources. Follow this link for a quick and easy volunteer signup: https://safefamilies.uk/volunteer/

Let’s Feed Brum – reaches out to the homeless in Birmingham, providing food, drink and friendship. This is a great charity to get involved with if you want to be involved in meeting some of the most necessary and practical needs here in Birmingham. If you think that this could be for you, you can sign up for a trial, to help feed those on the streets or to help in a night shelter here: Let's Feed Brum

Open Doors – is an international ministry serving persecuted Christians in over 50 countries worldwide. We support Open Doors as a way of standing with our brothers and sisters around the world who are currently being persecuted for the faith in the name of Jesus. We will regularly mention and pray for specific situations but to sign up to their prayer mailing list or to give financially please check out Serving Persecuted Christians Worldwide - Home - Open Doors UK & Ireland
