What is One Thing?
One Thing is a discipleship year that we run at King’s Church alongside the other churches in Grace Connection. It’s about learning how to live out the prayer in Psalm 27 “one thing have I asked of the Lord, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord forever”. It’s a year of serving Jesus and His church, growing in being His disciple in all aspects of life.
What would I be doing?
King’s Church is all about family and we want to see people saved, discipled and sent on Jesus’ mission together. Joining us for a year on One Thing will mean you get to be a part of this family mission. The programme runs part time from September till July, Sunday-Tuesdays. Through teaching, working with our staff and volunteers, growing our students, helping at events and much more, you’ll learn valuable skills, and have time to explore your own giftings. There is no cost for the year but most on one thing take up part time work during the latter part of the week to cover their living costs.
Why should I take a year out to do One Thing?
With life ahead of you and options for what the future holds, it’s a perfect time to dedicate a year to going to deeper with God. One Thing is an invaluable opportunity to have focused time delving into what it means to be a son or daughter of God and learning to walk in that freedom. Our vision is to help you grow into all God has called you to be by pursuing Jesus and running after Him.
